AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRIES SUFFER TOO
by Jack Davis

American was once the breadbasket of the world. Now we cannot feed ourselves.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Economic Research Service estimates that in 2005, for the first time in 50 years, America will import more agricultural products than it will export.

In four years, the Bush administration has taken a 13.6 billion dollar agricultural trade surplus to a trade deficit.

The U.S. manufacturing and service economy now has fewer jobs than when Bush was inaugurated four years ago. In four years, the trade deficit has increased from 400 billion to over 600 billion dollars.

Wake up America; wake up to the fact that free trade, globalization, NAFTA and WTO are destroying America's jobs, farms and industries. American was once the breadbasket of the world. Now we cannot feed ourselves.
