Jack Davis Repeats Pledge to Join Barack Obama in Refusing Lobbyist Cash
Akron, NY: Eight weeks after challenging his fellow Congressional Candidates to refuse special interest money, industrialist Jack Davis (D) repeated his commitment to joining Barack Obama in refusing lobbyist and PAC money and again challenged his opponents to do the same.
“They [my opponents] have yet to respond, and I can only conclude that instead of leading by example, the other candidates are still taking money from the very special interests that have wrecked our economy.”
“Send me to Washington to fight for our jobs, farms, and industries and you will have an honest Congressman with the independence to stand up to the special interests and the freedom to fight for you.”
“I am running for Congress not because I want the title, but because I want to do the work. I will not take the annual salary of $169,000. I will work for a dollar a year.”
Mr. Davis is President of I Squared R, a manufacturer of silicon carbide heating elements headquartered in Akron, NY.
