Jack Davis reaction to Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention

Akron, NY: Akron industrialist Jack Davis released the following statement following Michelle Obama’s stirring speech to the Democratic National Convention.

“Tonight in her address to the Democratic National Convention, Michelle Obama shared her husband’s dream – a dream she shares – with our great nation. She said, ‘America should be a place where you can make it if you try.’ I agree.

“The people we vote for have a responsibility to stand up for working men and women and stand up against special interests. Barack Obama made that pledge months ago and I made the same pledge. Special interest money doesn’t impress me, I won’t take a dime.

“It is this kind of leadership we need in Washington – leaders who know the concerns of working men and women and leaders who are committed to saving American jobs, farms, and industries.”
