Announcing the "Save Jobs and Farms" Party
Good morning, Thank you for coming.
Today I announce the birth of the “Save Jobs and Farms” Party.
On August 19th, we presented over 7,000 petitions to the New York State Election Committee in Albany. Only 3,500 signatures were required. This ensures that we will be on the ballot in November.
I would like to thank all the people who carried this petition.
They knocked on doors and met with people who are concerned about saving jobs and farms in Western New York. Thank you.
I would like to thank all the people who signed this petition. Your signature is an endorsement of this campaign to save American jobs, farms, and industries. Thank you.
We have a lot of work to do and I look forward to your support in September and in November.
When working men and women go to the polls this November, they will be able to vote for me on the “Save Jobs and Farms” party line.
I am running for Congress to oppose all free trade agreements, canceling our membership in the World Trade Organization, and fighting for balanced trade. I am running for Congress to bring a renewed commitment to ethics and independence to Washington.
I am running because despite all the bad news, and all the broken promises, I still believe in America. I believe there is a lot of good in America and that is worth fighting for. I am dedicating the rest of my life to saving American jobs, farms, and industries.
I have lived the American dream by starting a company and building a good life in Western New York. Now I want to help my country - by fighting for jobs. Not mine - yours. The most important issue in this election is jobs and ending the economic war on the working men and women of this country.
This election is about the working men and women who have lost their jobs, or will soon lose them. It's about families losing their homes.
It's about paying four dollars for a gallon of gas and four dollars for a gallon of milk, while living on fixed income or a barely livable wage.
It's about retired people trying to live on savings and Social Security. It’s about families who cannot afford to buy healthy food. It’s about working people who have lost their health insurance or who cannot afford healthcare.
The solution to most of these problems is simple – good paying jobs. If we all had good paying jobs, our families would be stronger, taxes would be lower, and Social Security would be solvent forever.
The politicians have spent a lifetime talking about these problems – I have spent my lifetime creating jobs, balancing budgets and getting things done for working men and women – and that’s why I am running for Congress.
Congress must represent working men and women, not Washington Lobbyists and Special Interests.
I have created a new party for the farmers and the working men and women. I pledge to represent them.
Tom Reynolds and his hand picked successor Chris Lee represent the free traders, the globalists, the multinational corporations, the lobbyists, and the special interests that off shore our jobs.
I will represent the small businesses, farmers, and working men and women.
I am running for Congress not because I want the title, but because I want to do the work. I will not take the annual salary of $169,000. I will work for a dollar a year. I don’t want any of the perks, no cars or gas, or any of the other things that regular Americans have to pay for themselves.
And I won’t change when I get to Washington. No wining and dining by the lobbyists for me. Their money doesn’t impress me, and I won’t take a dime of it.
We can change Washington, but not by just talking about it. We have to do it. We have to lead by example, and that’s why I am proud to be the only candidate to reject special interest money.
I will finance my campaign with 3 million dollars that I have earned through a lifetime of hard work. I'm an optimist, but I know I cannot win this fight alone. I won't ask you for your money, but I am asking for your vote and your ideas.
Join the fight for a government that helps people and not those who offshore our jobs and industries. Join the fight to bring moral integrity, honesty and ethics to Washington.
And most of all – I need you - all of you - to join the fight to Save American Jobs, Farms, and Industries.
Thanks for coming. Now let’s get to work.
